Atoms

Page history last edited by Naeem Allen-Stills 8 years, 7 months ago

Atoms are the basic building blocks of matter and they make up everything from the smallest speck of dust to

a 60ft tree! There are 90 atoms that are known in the world naturally. 25 others have been made my scientist in the lab.

Atoms are known to be formed by three basic particles; Protons, Neutrons and Electrons

-Protons carry positive charge.

-Neutrons carry no charge.

-When protons and electrons are joined together they form the nucleus of an atom.

-Electrons are negatively charged and circle around the nucleus of the atom.
